Scott Holland

Scott Holland and his meaningful, customized employment success story has served as the inspiration for the Genesis at Work Foundation founded by his father, Bryan Holland.

The Hamilton County Developmental Services My Life magazine featured Scott on the front cover of the October 2022 issue as a success story transitioning from Mariemont High School to find meaningful employment.

Scott attended the University of Cincinnati’s Collaboration for Employment and Education Synergy program for two semesters. During one of his internships within the program, he was offered employment by Aramark to work in their CenterCourt dining facility. Here he contributes his skills in several areas including making pizzas, being a stir-fry chef and generally improving the work environment with his personality.

Scott’s love for sports led him to seek employment with the University of Cincinnati Athletic Facilities/Operations group where he assists as part of a team setting up and working collegiate games. He does this for the following UC teams: women’s soccer, volleyball, basketball and men’s basketball and baseball. In addition to these two paid positions, he enjoys being part of the team volunteering at all Mariemont varsity football and Sycamore varsity basketball games, including working at most of their practices.
