Genesis at Work Is Suspending Operations

GENESIS AT WORK FOUNDATION IS SUSPENDING OPERATIONS

We continue to believe wholeheartedly in that mission and in the Customized Employment process that we created to allow young people with special needs to reach their full employment potential. However, the funding process to sustain our mission over the longer term has not been what we had hoped, so we are forced to suspend operations. This will be a phased approach over several months, and we will continue to serve job seekers, those already placed, and Inclusive Employers during that time.

Suspending Genesis at Work Foundation has been a difficult decision for so many of us who have worked so diligently to see our mission fulfilled. We built a Customized Employment model that served our clients well – job seekers, placed individuals, and Inclusive Employers. It is our hope that God will direct us to another organization that will be able to incorporate our process into their approach to finding meaningful work for individuals with special needs.

Our sincere thanks to all of you who supported the mission of Genesis at Work. We deeply regret that the necessary funding to sustain operations did not come through as we hoped. Please know that we will continue to pray for those with special needs that their employment aspirations will be realized.

A Message from the Founder and CEO, Bryan Holland

Dear Donors, Volunteers, Inclusive Employers, Partners, and especially those with special needs and their families:

We launched Genesis at Work two years ago with the mission of finding “meaningful work for God’s children with special needs.”  For those people with special needs who we have placed, and for the Inclusive Employers who took them on, that mission has been a resounding success.

Our Impactful Mission

We find meaningful work for God’s children

with special needs enriching lives and businesses.

Our Story

What differentiates Genesis at Work

from other organizations in Cincinnati?

We differ in 4 ways…

1. No other organization in Greater Cincinnati adheres to the Customized Employment process from the industry-leading pioneer, Marc Gold & Associates.

2. No other organization provides education to employers equipping them with the best practices necessary to effectively support job seekers and employees.

3. Our team will invest if needed, up to 200 hours working with the job seeker, their family, and the employer to ensure successful employment.

This is 4 times more than other organizations in Greater Cincinnati working with job seekers with disabilities.

4. We intentionally include God in our name (Genesis), our mission, our vision, and as our guide for support and direction.

WE OPERATE INDEPENDENTLY OF GOVERNMENT FUNDING

All Genesis at Work Foundation services are provided at no cost for job seekers and their families.

WE SUPPORT PEOPLE OF ALL FAITHS AND PEOPLE WITH NO FAITH
