Kevin Potts, Director of Development

Kevin is an experienced executive with two decades of combined experience in the nonprofit and senior care sectors. Before joining Genesis at Work, Kevin served as Executive Director of the Ken Anderson Alliance. The Ken Anderson Alliance is an organization that creates housing, workforce development, and social engagement opportunities for adults with special needs. Specifically brought in to develop and expand the organization, Kevin was instrumental in expanding their funding, leading to a 400% increase in yearly income from 2019 to 2023. Under his leadership, the Ken Anderson Alliance has grown from supporting 100 people to over 400, including the development and licensure of three new programs through home & community-based services. Additionally, Kevin served as Director of Operations for Personal Care Choices and owned and operated Sweetwater Living Senior and Disability Services.

Kevin serves on boards for non-profit organizations such as the Freeman Center for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and the University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities through Children’s Hospital.

He is a graduate of Carson Newman University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He later returned to Carson Newman University to earn a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.

Kevin firmly believes we can see the person’s we serve for their “abilities” vs. their “disabilities.”
