Meaningful work
for God’s children
with special needs.
A Message from the Founder and CEO, Bryan Holland
I Am Excited to Announce…
The Transition of Genesis at Work’s Customized Employment Process to Autism Connections
Dear Donors, Volunteers, Inclusive Employers, Partners, and especially those with special needs and their families:
We launched Genesis at Work two years ago with the mission of finding “meaningful work for God’s children with special needs.” For those people with special needs who we have placed, and for the Inclusive Employers who took them on, that mission has been a resounding success.
We continue to believe wholeheartedly in that mission and in the Customized Employment process that we created to allow young people with special needs reach their full employment potential.
However, the funding process to sustain our mission over the longer term has not been what we had hoped, so we suspended operations. But this doesn’t mean the end of our work!
God led us in a new direction, to Autism Connections, a 50-year-old Cincinnati organization who has embraced our customized employment work. They are passionate and a perfect fit to continue our mission to find meaningful work for God’s children with special needs enriching, lives, and businesses.
Our sincere thanks to all of you who supported the mission of Genesis at Work. Please know that we will continue to pray for those with special needs that their employment aspirations will be realized. And we will pray for Autism Connections and support them in any way that we can in helping fulfill our original mission.
We are excited to continue the work Genesis began. We recognize the importance of meaningful work and the barriers individuals with disabilities often face when looking for or retaining employment.
